2010 is coming. A fresh start from away with the 2009!
This year hasn't been to bad for me. I'm ready for 2010 to hit though. I just have a feeling it'll be an awesome year, not just for me, but for others just by how they talk about it
2009-In review.
- I luckily got back to work in Dec 2008, and it continued through mid 2009 with the contracting team I was part of. There were about 40 guys from the last project waiting to be sent out to various jobs...which never came. Only about 10 of us from this company were lucky enough to make it on the project that just started. I was able to bring Cynthia with me and we found a pretty awesome hotel to stay in right on the lake, while I worked.
- During my time with the contracting company, I finally (FINALLY!!!!!) got an offer from Vestas (wind turbines) which I've been pushing for since I started with the contracting company, so in a nut shell, I've been waiting for this for a year and a half. Service tech in south Texas, near the beach. Means I'm able to come off the road, and focus on bigger issues. Not to mention more time with Cynthia, and not having to "drag" her everywhere I would have gone on the road.
- Vestas training takes place in Portland, OR. Who better to meet there then =shadowed-light-waves???! Amazing times. We got to hang out with her for the 3 weeks we were there. Checked out some crazy things, and just overall had a blast!
- Got an apartment after coming back. A place of our own. We put up deviation prints up everywhere! Amazing times
- Got to see my son again after a long hiatus of not seeing him. On the first visit, of course I damage the lil kid, along with myself, falling off a slide. I just got to see him again though and he has recovered amazingly! Strong lil boy, and he's gonna break ladies hearts.
- Sad news hits: Found out my grandmother has breast cancer and lesions on her spine. We've yet to find out if the lesions are cancerous. Good News: If the lesions aren't, the cancer in her breast is removed, and she's on a medication for a year. If the lesions are cancerous, she will be put up to a new type of Kemo, which doesn't bald or make the patient "weak" like typical kemo. So hopefully the good news is the lesions aren't cancerous, if they are, the new type of kemo keeps her strong like she is.
- I started WoW again...not sure if that matters...lol
- The biggest news of the year though, for me, was @CynthiaCynical got on her knee and proposed to me..yes..to me...lol. Of course I said yes. She did it on our one year anni (September 3rd) and that's when we plan to get married in 2010
That's it right there. As far as 2010. We'll see. I hope it's amazing year, especially since Cynthia and I are getting married (in California).
I hope everyone has an amazing new year and enjoys 2010!
