I would want to know what they believe is the purpose of the artist in society. and/or, what they feel they are contributing or accomplishing, both in their own life and on a larger scale, (if anything) by being an artist.

I would ask: do other people ask you to TEACH them how to be such a good artist, or am i the only sorry bastard who gets asked that kinda stuff by the simple-minded?

I'd either ask why (Cause im a philosophical bastard) or any "defining", preferably the defining moment that they feel they"leveled up" in terms of skills exposure whatever.

...Just that one point or lapse in time that, looking back on it, they think "wow, that was important, that was good, that was cool" or something.
